Sunday morning summary

What a great game at Autzen Stadium yesterday! Beautiful sunshine, loud crowd, four hours sitting with my parents and sons enjoying the whole experience. And the game-saving interception leaving 12 seconds to play sent at least 55,000 of us home very happy.

But I digress. As of last night, my volunteers and I have collected

426

donations of $5 accompanied by forms from contributors who are registered Portland voters. As always when posted here, this number is subject to verifying the forms are filled out correctly, and filing the donor information with the state system within 14 days.

I took a vacation day to attend the Ducks game yesterday, but this afternoon I'll be heading in to OHSU to work the evening shift on the inpatient psychiatry unit. I work alternating weekends, and hope to delay taking a leave of absence for the campaign until March. So I don't have time for much else today. I'm counting on my supporters to be out knocking on their neighbors' doors later on this beautiful Sunday, seeking those 1000 important donations to help qualify the Amanda for Portland 2008 campaign for Public Campaign Financing. Go, team, go!
